“…his work is reminiscent of a Rauschenberg combine (adding a third dimension to a flat surface) rather than a collage…Peterson includes pieces of burlap sacks that once held coffee beans, along with sandpaper, house paint, acrylic paint, and ballpoint ink on wood panel. The result is more soothing than the jumble of materials might insinuate and the pieces are visually intricate without appearing difficult to live with.”
